Janet In-Store Appearance

As previously posted, Janet Jackson made a special in-store appearance at the Virgin Megastore in Hollywood, CA, last night. Not feeling the hair, but I bet it was a great night. Did I mention that she performed a free concert in Hollywood too? Video will be up shortly. As if this was not enough to keep Janet busy for the day, Miss Jackson also made an appearance on the Larry King live show for a short interview where she acknowledged rumors of a Jackson Family Reunion Tour.

“I would love to do it. I get my brothers on the phone all the time. I’m the biggest fan of the the Jackson Five. I have conference calls all the time pushing them to do a huge tour. I tell them if they did, I would love to open for them. They would love to, but one of them is on the fence. You have to respect that. Michael’s worked very hard at his solo career. I don’t know. Maybe he’ll come around. I’m still kind of working on him.”

That would be one hell of a tour, not to mention music history.

O'Brien taking over Leno's Turf

It's finally about to be official. Conan O'Brien will be taking over Jay Leno's job as the Tonight Show host next year. Apparently, Leno is not happy about this decision. Jay Leno has been the show's host since 1992, a 16 year run. I'm sad. I thought Leno was a good host, didn't care for his jokes or monologues, but I doubt Conan can do any better.

Paris Needs A New Bestie...It could be you!

Wow. Paris Hilton is doing another reality TV show. But this time, she will be without her long-time on-again-off-again friend, Nicole Richie. No, the two haven't broken up they're friendship again, but Paris and Nicole have agreed that Nicole needs to spend time alone with her and her new baby. "Of course, my real best friend will always be Nicole. She's like my sister, but now she's busy with her daughter, Harlow." Anyways, Paris' show is set to take place in a local L.A. sorority where Paris will be experiencing all that a college sorority has to offer. "I never got to go to college and this will be my chance to be in a sorority and have that experience." On the show, there's a little twist. The group of girls will be competing to become the heiress' new best friend. Haha, great grand prize right?! I give the friendship a week, two at most.

Somebody needs to humble Gary Busey before his ego makes his head explode. How can a guy who hasn't been in a successful music since Jesus walked the Earth be so mean to people and talk so much trash about others? Man, he needs a rude-awakening. Avril Drama: No One Wants Her Tickets or Her House

Avril Lavigne is facing a lot of hardship nowadays. Perez Hilton thinks she's a douchebag, her Best Damn Tour has the worst damn ticket sales, and now she can't even sell her Mulholland estate. According to Perez, her house has been on the market for quite some time, but the sale has been a no go. Initially listed at $7 million, the estate has dropped to a whopping $5.8 million. That's a pretty big price cut: nearly $2,000,000. Poor Avril.

Michael Jackson in $24 million dollar debt...

Michael Jackson may be the king of pop, but not even this king could hold on to the NEVERLAND ranch. Maybe if he learned to keep his hands to himself, he might be able to. Anyways, I digress. The popstar's multi-million dollar estate has been foreclosed and is scheduled to be auctioned off soon, unless Michael can come up with $24,525,906.61 soon. If you're interested in living in the Santa Barbara area and witness where so many of Michael's little-boy-dreams came true, this may be the place for you. You can even sleep in his bed, ride his rides, and maybe even get a bottle of Jesus-juice, considering that all the possessions within the property are being included in the auction. If you hate The Hills most notorious couple, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, I've got great news for you (or completely horrible news, however you want to look at it). The two are in the process of creating a video game! What's so great about this? According to Spencer,

PerezHilton has recently come across footage of Rihanna performing Mariah Carey's classic, Hero, and it is very hard to listen to. I tried to keep telling myself, "She was just a kid! She was just a kid! She probably hasn't had any vocal training!" but my God! From 2:20-the end (that's right, I watched the whole thing) it's just BAD! Like American-Idol-reject-auditions-bad! The sad thing is, if she were to re-sing the song today, it'll probably sound the same.

Mizz Jackson in L.A. Sshh!!!

I guess this is super secret because it hasn't been announced or publicized anywhere yet that Janet Jackson will be in L.A. promoting her new studio album Discipline (released Feb. 26, 2008). If you happen to be in the area on Feb. 26, 2008 at 12:00am, the Virgin Megastore in Hollywood will be selling Miss Jackson's album and giving out wristband's good for a guaranteed spot to meet Janet and have your CD signed by her on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008. Also, Janet will be performing a FREE concert prior to the meet & greet, so if you aren't lucky enough to get a wristband, you can still see Janet perform for free.

RUMOR: Chris Brown to GLOW...

Rumor on the NET is that Chris Brown may be joining Kanye West's Glow in the Dark Tour! According to mediatakeout, a rep working for Chris Brown has been quoted stating "Chris will definitely be a part of the tour .... it's just a question of how much of a role he'll play." If this is true, then you have three chances to catch Chris Brown in L.A. (April 21- Nokia Theatre LA, April 22 - Nokia Theatre LA, & June 7 - Staples Center). If you manage to pick up a ticket to these sold out shows, you're in for a great show. Chris' dance moves, Rihanna's voice, and rhymes from N.E.R.D., Lupe Fiasco, and Kanye West, not to mention the special guests. Good Luck finding tickets though, they're being scalped like crazy.

Surprise, Surprise Miss Mary J. Blige!

Surprisingly, tickets to see Mary J. Blige and Jay-Z on April 16, 2008 at the Hollywood Bowl are selling! I just checked which tickets are available still and only the benches in the back of the house are available which means the front row tickets near the stage (which sold for $350.75) are all sold out! WOW! The next question is how many of the VIP experiences have been sold so far. Each VIP Experience package is an additional $395.

Rihanna + Chris Brown = <3 (?)

Are Chris Brown and Rihanna a couple? After recently spotting the two together at T-Pain's House of Blues concert on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood, I think so. For over a year now, it seemed that Rihanna and Chris would be hooking up, despite her comments that he is too young for her. Maybe she has noticed how much he's grown up. I first suspected something when I saw Rihanna at Chris Brown's concert in L.A. on January 3, 2007. She was really enjoying the show, if you know what I mean. Then at this recent T-Pain show, it was announced that Rihanna and Chris were in the crowd together. When Chris took the stage, he didn't deny the statement. And later, the two attended Clive Davis' Pre-Grammy party together. Is this love?

T-Pain's Own Pre-Grammy Party

The Stars weren't just coming out for the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles this weekend. T-Pain, who was scheduled to perform alone on February 9, 2008, at the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip, decided to invite a few friends. The night started out a few hours late (T-Pain was scheduled to start at 9:00pm; did not start until 11:15pm) but the crowd didn't mind by the end of the night. First among the list of friends stopping by to support the show was new, up and coming rapper, GORILLA Zoe ("Hood N****") who performed two songs including his debut single. He was followed by a surprise performance by Chris Brown (who was announced to be dining with Rihanna at the venue). Chris performed "Kiss Kiss" with T-Pain, along with "Wall to Wall" and before performing their newest single together, "Shawty Get Loose," Lil' Mama exploded on stage and performed her debut single, "Lipgloss." Her performance was followed by the group performance of "Shawty Get Loose" where Lil' Mama and Chris Brown re-enacted their dance battle as seen in the music video for the single. If these guest appearances were not enough, Busta Rhymes took the stage and performed a few of his hits including "Touch It" and "Break Ya Neck." Next, Akon was announced from backstage and he took the stage performing his hits including "Smack That," "I Wanna Love You," and others before taking a stage dive into the crowd where he did a short crowd surf. Finally, at 1:45am, T-Pain was about to end the night when he received word that Nelly was backstage. T-Pain would not end the night until Nelly came out and performed his hit "Flap Your Wings." WOW! Then to make a great night even better I met Ashanti, Busta Rhymes, and Nelly!
